Even Rolling Stone listed the hit as among top Songs of 2015. Her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was one of five tracks which reached the top of the charts on Billboard which included Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. In an interview that Cara gave with Rap Up, this particular track had lots of meaning for many of the listeners who related to her tale of accepting and loving your self. Cara integrates messages about compassion and self-love in her songs. The music that she has written is derived from her own struggle in overcoming mental health issues and insomnia. In a Reuters interview, she described her album as half tumultuous and half complete. The therapy she received made her stronger and she encourages others to do the same. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born on July 11, 1996 to parents of Italian heritage. In 2010, her parents bought her a new guitar which she utilized to discover her love for music. She began covering the songs she loved at 13, to prove to that world that she could sing and had the courage necessary to be the next singer. In fact the cover song Sweater Weather became the track that made her the focus of EP Entertainment. They allowed her to write and record her own tracks.
