That same year, she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being the first of five tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts including the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. Cara has a reputation for incorporating messages about mental health, kindness and love of self in her music. Every song Cara sings comes directly from her struggles with depression, insomnia as well as other problems. According to an Reuters interview, she described her album as half tumultuous and half well-crafted. People have told her that she found her growth during therapy. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. She was born July 11, 1996, to parents with Italian origins. Her parents gifted her with guitar at the age of 10 and this brought her to music. In 2013, she covered some of her most loved songs on YouTube, a popular social media site. This was to demonstrate that she had both the ability and the confidence to pursue a career as an artist. Sweater Weather became her most famous song. A record label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her write songs.
