In the year 2015, at age 19, she released her debut single, Here. It quickly became a hit with both critics as well as the fans were awed by the song. The inspiration for her music stems from her personal struggles to conquer mental health issues and insomnia. In a Reuters interview, she has described her album as half-tumultuous however, it is half finished. The growth of her career was helped by a therapy. She also encourages her fellow singers who need help to ask for help. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born the 11th of July, 1996 to parents who are of Italian descent. At the age of 10 old, her parents gifted her a guitar that became the starting point of her passion for music. She started covering her favourite songs at age thirteen to show everyone that she could sing and had the confidence required to become an artist. One of the songs Sweater Weather ended up getting her attention by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to write and create songs.
