Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop stars. She was an artist capable of effectively bridge the gap between country and pop, conquering the globe. Swift dropped country as if it was another layer of herself, proving that she's possibly the most intelligent pop singer/songwriter of her time. Someone who is able to harness the current zeitgeist and make it personal, and perform in the opposite. Her talents were apparent in some of her first tracks, including the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her sophomore album Fearless that came out in 2008, she was able to discover the person she was and reach audiences across the globe. The album was a huge success, not just on American soil, with six platinum-certified songs. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story and You Belong with Me were the most important reasons. But, it also did very well across the globe. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago, consolidated her prior successes, propelling her into superstardom. Her popularity only increased over her next three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014) as well as Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) which saw her move into a realm of pop music that she had already been a part of. While she reduced her work with folklore and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was in the forefront of pop music.
