LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of the best basketball players. He is often in comparison to Michael Jordan when discussing the most well-known basketball player. James was awarded four NBA championships as well as four NBA MVPs as well as three MVPs of the All-Star team along with 2 Olympic medals. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the top pick in the NBA draft in 2003. In 2004, he received the title of NBA Rookie. He soon was one of the league's best players and was awarded the NBA MVP title in both 2009 and 2010. After failing to win a championship with Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent to become a member of with the Miami Heat this was announced on television in the special The Decision and is among the most controversial free-agent decisions throughout sports history.
