Andrea Elson

Andrea Hope Elson (born in 1961) was a famous American actor. Elson began her career in TV as a child model as well as actress. Her most well-known character is Alice Tyler, portrayed by Elson on CBS' science fiction series. Andrea won the role of Lynn Tanner, in ALF (1986) following an audition. She continued to work for a long time on different popular TV shows as well as Movies of the Week before leaving the entertainment business to focus on raising her children. Andrea Elson's job as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teen daughter was a difficult one for her. People magazine published an account of her career in the year 2000. Elson said being a teenager in the spotlight was not easy. In New York City in 1969, Elson grew in a world of travel because her advertising father was a travelling salesman. Prior to turning ten, old, she was living between New York Chicago San Diego and Los Angeles. While in San Diego Andrea got an agent and got the role she attempted to audition for. Fusco defended the premise saying that "ALF is 285 years old, he is able to drink beer because he's old enough. Since ALF's popularity increased with youngsters, NBC informed Fusco that the actor could not consume alcohol because the children were watching. This was not a good illustration. Fusco, who believed ALF had the maturity to drive drunk, was wrong. In 1995, he was found to be suffering from cancerous lymphoma. It was successfully treated and he went on to be in remission for the rest of his life. On June 26, 2019 aged 75, he passed away from the illness at the Lillian Booth Actors Home located in Englewood New Jersey.
